Slow Roasted Ribs

Step 1: Gather Ingredients and Equipment


2 racks of baby back ribs

In a small bowl combine:
Dry Rub:

3 tablespoons kosher salt

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

3 tablespoons chili powder

1/2 tablespoon ground thyme

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon allspice

Combine and rub onto 3 slabs of ribs ( about 9 lb.)

Next combine and pour over the ribs:

Braising sauce:

1 cup dry red wine

1/3 cup honey

1/3 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons cider vinegar

1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 cloves garlic, peeled and
Place into a 250 degree oven covered with aluminum foil  for 3 hours. Basting frequently.
Remove most of the liquid and broil for 10 minutes. Serve.
