Blitzkuchen


1 C butter, softened

1 C sugar

2 eggs

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 C finely crushed pretzels

Topping

1/2 C sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

( can add 1/2 C chopped nuts, i did not)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugar together until light and creamy. Beat in eggs, vanilla and pretzels. Blend until smooth. Spread into a greased 9X13' pan. Sprinkle top with sugar cinnamon mixture and nuts, if desired. Bake for 15 minutes. Cut into squares while still hot.
