Butterscotch Brownies


1/4 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup self rising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chopped walnuts


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 9X9 inch baking pan.
In a large saucepan; melt butter, beat in brown sugar. add egg, flour, vanilla, and walnuts; beat until smooth and well blended. Pour into prepared baking pan. Bake 25 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into squares.
